May 18, 2010 /Sunflowers

The sunflowers were growing long roots.The huge sunflower is 51 inches and the small sun flower is 31 inches.Some of my class mates helped me hold the sunflowers.The plants are huge ,long and pretty! The plants have big leaves and huge stems!!

We put water in the plants.One plant is 53 inches and the other is 34 inches.The plants that are growing in the sun are sunflowers.We had to go too the art room to get water for the plants and we went back and forth 4 times.

We watered the plants when we added the chemicals but we ran out. The roots are hanging out from the bottem. the sunflower plant grew taller than 14 inches . we moved the plants so the light will be on the vegetable plants so they will grow.

Today me and another student had to change the water and we had to wipe down the drip circle and we also had to put in more chemicals.

Day 5

Today we had to cut one of the plants.My teacher had to put in more water to the right height.

Day 4

Today, two students changed the water in the basin and put in new water. And we put chemicals in and one of the students cleaned the drip circle. No change in the plants.

Day 3

When i came in today i went right over to the hydroponics and there was three that where 4 cm, three that where 1 cm and two that where 2 cm.

Day 2

We just started to grow sunflower seeds yesterday it looks pretty good so far. We started by bringing the clay balls to the art room. Then we left them in a sink for about an hour. Then we cleaned of the plants and dug out the clay balls and placed them in the reservoir and planted the seedlings. finally we watered the seedlings.

Day 1 has been very excting!
