Today we started our Hydroponics unit. We planted 5 sunflowers in one unit. We were showed by our teacher, Mrs. Burkett how the system is put together and what we need for nutrients. A few students in our classroom filled the bottom container with water. Then, a few other students washed off our sunflower roots that were growing on the windowsill. We needed to wash the soil off because we did not want to contaminate the water. After the setup was complete, we turned on the grow light. Now we are going to watch it everyday and see what happens! Stay tuned for more information and pictures!
